It's not always easy telling your child that you are expecting

After having told all of our family members that we are expecting our first child together, we now had to tell my stepson Chase he was going to be a big brother. For a few months now, he has been asking me if he will be a great big brother someday. I always tell him yes and I truly believe so! It just so happens that it will be sooner than we expected. We decided to have a BBQ and surprise him with a cake that showed him he would be a brother. At first he was confused, but after looking at the display on the cake, he was super excited! He even told me the baby would be sleeping in his room! BAHAHAHA yeah righttttt. Here are a couple of pictures that show our surprise to our five year old :)

This is my husband Eric and I. Our bigger dog is Beau and the smaller one is Toby.

My very handsome stepson Chase. He is five years old and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall!
